Writing is my
passion. It is a way to experience the ecstatic. The
root under- standing of the word ecstasy -- 'to
stand outside' -- comes to me in those moments when
I am immersed so deeply in the act of thinking and
writing that everything else, even flesh, falls
away.

Ali Lichtenstein, PhD
Fiber and Mixed Media Artist, Writer, Writing Workshop
Leader
She leads fiber
and creative writing playshops and special events. Ali’s
fiber work includes doll-making, collage, and fantasy
figures.
She is currently on hiatus from her day job at
Keene State College, where she teaches an eclectic array of
courses, including writing, women's and gender studies,
English, and Integrated Studies.
Ali holds an integrative
studies doctorate in the fields of
rhetoric/composition and women's studies with
primary emphasis on spirituality and creative
process.
